What You Will Do: 
This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Supply Chain Organization encompassing strategic (demand/capacity planning, supply planning and system optimization) and tactical functions (forecasting, scheduling, and distribution). satisfaction. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring that our products and services deliver the highest level of customer and consumer satisfaction. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 
These are the general responsibilities of the Director of Operations: Responsible for managing all aspects of Operations including Supply Chain, Customer Service and Order Fulfillment. 
  • Direct, coordinate and evaluate operations team to ensure effective operations. 
  • Oversee and manage co-packer relationship ensuring compliance with contract and quality standards. 
  • Manage vendor relationships including sourcing and contract negotiations. 
  • Oversee and manage third party logistics providers to ensure efficient execution at reasonable costs 
  • Develop and implement plans to reduce cost of goods sold without sacrificing quality. 
  • Work closely with R&D and QA to ensure all regulatory and compliance measures are met with company, external co-packer, suppliers and import requirements. 
  • Develop, implement and achieve targets for key performance indicators at a line, manager, and executive level, to include forecast accuracy, capacity utilization/efficiency, schedule adherence, lead times, inventory turns, in-stock performance/on-time delivery, excess/obsolete inventory, etc. 
  • Provide regular performance updates on operations and key metrics. 
  • Mentor, train and develop direct reports. 
  • Ensure crisis management procedures are in place and tested. 
  • Manage capital assets to ensure reliability. Develop and manage annual capital expenditures budget. 
Responsible for Strategic Growth and Planning for both the Operations department and the Company: 
  • Actively participate in annual and long-term planning process and development of annual budget and forecasts. 
  • Deliver financial results consistent with plan. 
  • Monitor capacity needs and capital requirements to meet growth trajectory. 
  • Work closely with R&D and take a lead role in product innovation process and project management. Support scale-up and commercialization of new products including vetting and onboarding new supplies and materials. 
  • Identify and implement best-in-class supply chain technology suitable to the scope and size of the business including, but not limited to, MRP, supply constraint models, component attributes, and inventory logic (MOQs, re-order points, planning rules, etc.) 
  • Implement and reinforce current best practices across all supply chain functions including demand/capacity planning, service targets, inventory strategy, new product development, and product lifecycles 
  • Lead and manage the S&OP process for the company. Host and document findings from regular sales, operations and finance department meetings and interpret results on forecasting, profit and cashflow management 
Who You Are: 
Knowledge, skills and abilities required: 
  • College Degree in a related field 
  • Proven operational and supply chain management experience (5-8 years) in Food or Beverage industry. 
  • Strong working experience and knowledge of ERP, Forecasting WMS systems. 
  • Experience in process planning and implementation, specifically software implementations that include large and complex data transfers 
  • Experience evaluating 3PL providers, writing RFPs and managing transitions 
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial go-getter with the high levels of integrity and good judgement. 
  • Must thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and have a “whatever it takes” attitude. 
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks in a scrappy environment. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, expert Excel usage a plus. 
  • Professional presence when meeting with suppliers, customers and the public. 
  • Decision maker 
  • Ability to travel (15%) with little advance notice.
