Full Job Description

The key objective of this role is to manage and balance inventory levels.

Qualifications

Background/Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Business or related fields
  • Minimum of 3-4 years relevant experience (supply and demand planning and inventory replenishment/planning) strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of supply chain concepts including, forecasting, inventory planning, and inventory optimization.
  • ERP (NetSuite) system experience strongly preferred
  • Supply chain planning software (Demand Caster) experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Excel 
  • Excellent analytical and planning skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Experience interfacing with internal and external business partners

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  1. Ensure ongoing inventory accuracy with end of quarter, end of year, cycle, and physical counts of inventory.
  2. Evaluate monthly forecasts within supply chain planning software. Identify and understand underlying assumptions within the forecast models.
  3. Ensure that new products are set up within the ERP software and planning parameters.
  4. Coordinate the timing of file extracts, reconciliation program and adjustments to meet processing and warehouse operational needs.
  5. Investigate, resolve and prevent inventory discrepancies by reviewing transactions 
  6. Create and distribute inventory reconciliation reports, inventory adjustment summaries, warehouse productivity reports, and warehouse error reports.
  7. Coordinate and monitor stock transfers.
  8. Maintain inventory at distribution center to maximize service level
  9. Independently identify what needs to be done, build, plan, and present recommendations for production & packaging. 
  10. Communicate on any items that will cause a major impact to customer service/sales.
  11. Monitor KPI’s and drive corrective action as needed to maintain high performance.
  12. Ability to conduct ad hoc analysis and build advanced reporting to identify opportunities and drive future decisions
  13. Prepare reports and presentations for Senior Level Management
  14. Assist in providing support and analysis as necessary regarding sales, purchases, inventory levels and vendor performance
