Full Job Description
We’re looking for a an experienced Food Product Marketing Leader to lead the development and launch of new products in our pipeline as Sun Basket expands beyond dinner kits to an essential every day healthy eating service.
This senior position sits on the Engagement and Retention team, a team responsible for key revenue driving KPIs including AOV, purchase rate, churn, retention and customer LTV. Reporting to the Head of Engagement and Retention, the ideal candidate is very results oriented, and has demonstrated success in leading teams, building process, and developing cross-functional relationships while creating value within a small team. Sun Basket's product lines currently include dinner (core product), ready-to-cook, ready-to-heat meals, marketplace items, (salads, lunch, dips, sauces) and beyond.
Sample Projects Include:

- Build new product pipeline for future launches, as well as manage and optimize current product lines.
- Establish and manage product line sales and P&Ls to maximize revenue, contribution margin and inform product decisions.
- Identify new product innovation opportunities and recommend for inclusion in product roadmap.
- Develop the vision and implementation plan for Sun Basket's food product innovation roadmap.
- Systematize the approach to new product commercialization including prioritization of new opportunities and cross-functional stage-gate launch process.
- Identify, codify, and lead adoption of cross-functional processes for new product launches and ongoing product management
- Oversee project management of all food product lines.
- Partner with cross-functional leads to successfully develop and launch new brand and new product platforms
- Identify staffing needs to support product roadmap, as well as marketing and business objectives
- Lead & manage Brand Manager(s), Associate Brand Manager(s) and/or Product Commercialization Manager(s)
Education and Experience:
-
- 8-10+ years of progressive experience in e-commerce in various marketing roles, including social media communication, customer lifecycle, brand, all aspects of SEM and SEO, and online operations, preferably in food.
- 4+ years of experience managing people and teams with a strong ability to influence others.
- Experience in a fast moving startup environment.
- Strong visual, communication, analytical, and reporting skills
- Highly analytical and able to make and influence decisions based on data
- Proven ability of complex project management, influencing and creating the buy-in of cross-functional teams.
- Significant and proven experience managing people in different levels of their career
- Passion for healthy, natural and organic food a must.
- Master's degree in marketing or related field.
