Full Job Description

Job Summary 

OSC2 is a member organization comprised of natural products CEOs and founders working together to build more regenerative business and agricultural systems.  This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization. Day to day activities include a mix of oversight, execution, and administration, across OSC2’s  internal and external programs. 

Location: Remote

Classification: Part Time Contract

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Program, Meeting & Event Management

  • Manage internal communications, agendas, and operations associated with virtual and in-person meetings, including CEO/Founder Chapters, Member Committees, Departmental Working Groups, and Collaboratives as needed
  • Create clear, compelling, informative, presentations for various meetings and events
  • Attend meetings and send follow up notes and next steps with members, partners, sponsors, etc.  
  • Work closely with the Executive Director and OSC2 project directors to develop and maintain an organizational calendar of events and activities and oversee implementation
  • Support Executive Director and Packaging Collaborative Advisory board in running the OSC2 Packaging Collaborative, including but not limited to member services, meetings, regular updates, article dissemination, reporting, and project updates
  • Manage and support an expanded webinar and panel schedule related to JEDI, Packaging, Climate and associated impact projects
  • Keep member community informed and included in all key events, meetings, and key information related to our impact projects in Packaging, Climate, and Diversity

Business Administration

  • Respond to all inbound communications and requests in a timely manner
  • Establish a regular weekly work schedule, developed at the onset, with the Executive Director
  • Provide a mix of back-office functions associated with document management, Manage and generate invoices for sponsors, members, provide weekly updates on all projects, budgets, and meeting follow-ups, etc. 
  • Schedule key meetings
  • Work with Project leaders to update website
  • General operational and administrative support

External Communications, Web, and Social

  • Develop and oversee communications calendar 
  • Create and execute engaging social media campaigns
  • Maintain organizational website in a timely manner

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Self-starter: ability to manage and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, delegate work efficiently, and take direction from multiple project manager
  • Advanced experience with the following platforms preferred
    • Zoom
    • Mailchimp
    • Eventbrite
    • GSuite  (Drive, Calendar, Gmail)
    • LinkedIn
    • WordPress
    • Survey Monkey
    • Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience writing for a range of audiences in a professional setting
  • Formal facilitation training preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a diverse team and cultivate an inclusive work environment for peers of different identities
  • High capacity to be self-reflective, commitment to personal and professional growth; intellectual curiosity, creativity, strong desire and capacity for diversity in professional challenges
  • Strong client relations skills: Ability to pick up on different organizational cultures and work with a variety of functions and leadership levels. 

Education/Years Experience

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years’ relevant work experience preferred
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solid business acumen, problem structuring, and strategic problem-solving skills
  • Passion for the industry
  • Self-starter, organized and highly motivated
  • Ability to be flexible and self-sufficient
  • Ability to work within a team environment and independently

Time and Location Requirements

Based on candidate experience and scheduling needs, we expect this to be a 20-30 hour per week job.  Candidate provides their own computer, wireless service and phone for the position. Bay area residency is a plus. This is a virtual position with Bay area in person meetings at least bi-monthly.  Other travel is minimal but possible 1-2 times per year for 2-3 days at a time. 

Compensation

Commensurate with experience.
