Good Eggs’ Data Services team seeks a data analyst with a builder/architect mindset to grow our Culture of Data across the business and elevate our use of data in monitoring, understanding, predicting, and automatically optimizing our business. You’ll collaborate with a passionate team of engineers and analysts to uncover opportunities to optimize fulfillment and delivery routing strategies, help define the playbook for launching Good Eggs in new markets, prototype and iterate on forecasting for seasonal meal kit menus, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain schema, data models, and metrics in data warehouse from new and existing raw sources for rapid company-wide analyst and business intelligence use

• Gather requirements for and scope data services deliverables, including translation of business needs to data and technology concepts

• Build and refine SQL tables, metrics, reports, and dashboards that help us actionably understand the health of our business

• Mentor, coach, and enforce standardization and best practices for other analysts and analytical business stakeholders

• Conduct exploratory analyses and prototype technology product with methodologies ranging from raw data mining and manipulation to more sophisticated statistical modeling techniques

• Clearly and thoroughly communicate and ensure stakeholder understanding of data services deliverables and value

Requirements

• Functional equivalent of M.S. in STEM or business quantitative discipline + 4 years professional experience

• At least 2 years analytical experience in e-commerce, retail, transportation, and/or supply chain & logistics

• A track record of performing high impact analyses and building useful data tools with demonstrable business results

• Ability to work with ambiguous direction, i.e. self-direct, optimize, and prioritize work for long-term vs short-term needs, speed, flexibility, scale, impact per resource cost, etc

• Empathy for business stakeholders across various layers of seniority, technical/analytical abilities, and domains (digital, supply chain/logistics, procurement, finance)

• Familiarity with platforms in our data stack or ability to quickly gain facility with the relevant tools/languages

• Interest and belief in our mission of good food being the most powerful force for change!
