When people look for a job, they all-too often network in the wrong way.  They tell people they know that they’re looking for a job and hope that those people know of opportunities.  Well, sometimes they might stumble across an opportunity, but the vast majority of the time, their contacts don’t know of a job opportunity right then and there at that moment.  So the more important thing is for that job-seeker to become top of mind for as many people as possible and as frequently as possible.

But that’s not all… I have a tip for how to be WAY more effective with your network when you’re seeking a job.  It’s a simple change that can go a long way.
